Choosing an Okinawa Photo Wedding — From Beach Portraits to Luxury Resorts
Skipping the ceremony, or want portraits on their own? Three Okinawa photo-wedding plans — a beach and greenery shoot, One Suite THE GRAND and IRAPH SUI — compared, with what to check before you book.

Not every couple wants a ceremony, yet most would love to remember the dress, the suit and the two of them together somewhere beautiful. That is why so many choose an Okinawa photo wedding.
White sand, clear water and tropical green: portraits taken in Okinawa’s light have an openness and ease no studio can match. A shoot fits neatly into a holiday, and it works just as well with family and children along, or as maternity portraits.
Three reasons to shoot in Okinawa
- The scenery does the work: beaches, subtropical forest, infinity pools that melt into the sea. Nothing needs staging.
- It fits into a trip: the shoot takes around half a day, and the rest of your time is yours to enjoy.
- Choose your style: from an easy beach shoot to a session at a high-end resort.
Our Okinawa photo plans
Okinawa Photo Wedding: beach and tropical green
100 photos across two locations, the beach and tropical greenery, with one outfit rental each for the couple. Our Okinawa photographers know exactly where and when the light is at its best. Ideal if you are combining it with a holiday or bringing your family.
One Suite THE GRAND Photo Wedding: a refined luxury resort
An all-suite luxury resort on the crest of Kouri Island. The infinity pool where Kouri blue meets the sky, the refined interiors and Kouri Beach — 200 photos across two locations, with dress and tuxedo rental (fitting on site; bring-your-own free). For couples who want calm, cinematic images.
IRAPH SUI Photo Wedding: Miyako blue
IRAPH SUI, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Okinawa Miyako, on Irabu Island: an infinity pool that runs into the sea and sky, elegant interiors and the white sand of Toguchi Beach — 100 photos across two locations, with dress and tuxedo rental (bring-your-own free). For couples who want all of Miyako’s sea in their pictures.

Before you book
- Blackout dates: One Suite THE GRAND and IRAPH SUI cannot be booked for shoots during Golden Week, New Year or peak season. If your dates are fixed, ask us early.
- Hotel stay: the resort plans require two nights, the night before and the night of the shoot. Plan it together with your flights.
- Getting around: at One Suite THE GRAND you drive yourselves to the beach, so remember the rental car.
- Weather: locations and timings may change with the weather, so it helps to think about a rainy-day plan too.
- Options: hair and make-up, film and other extras can be arranged — just ask.
